We are counting the hours now. We are terribly excited, extremely happy and looking forward to seeing you all!
The Bauer Family
October 1st
Countdown: 5 days to go.
Please dont tell us last minute if you already know that you will not be able to attend the wedding. We really want to have as many people there as possible and as soon as we have empty space, we start inviting all over again. Cici is helping us out eagerly - she invited the whole playground today (adults, kids, everybody,...)

And reading this article we wonder if the programme should be changed!

We are still a little bit uncoordinated because we celebrated our Junggesellenabschied (hens night and stag night) yesterday - partly together. After an exciting crime hunt in the city of Vienna, the ladies had a delicious Asian dinner. The men enjoyed themselves at some sinister pub. At midnight we all met in a karaoke club .... and no, it didnt finish there. We danced the night away until the early morning in a downtown dance club.
Thank you, dear witnesses, for organizing such a special night for us!

September 14th
Dieses Wortspiel funktioniert nur auf Deutsch: auch wenn wir alt sind, morgen ist JUNGgesellen- und gesellinnenabschied.
September 12
We closed the RSVPs today, but you can still send us a message if you have not replied yet or if your plans have changed. Time is running out fast now and we are getting a bit nervous. But that's part of the game, isn't it?
September 2nd
We need your replies! As we have to get in touch with the catering service and furniture delivery soon, we need to know how many people are coming! Please answer as soon as you read this ... at least if you intend to come or not. Hen night and stag night are going to be a big surprise for us - we trust Katja and Josef with their organization of this special weekend. In the meantime our various wedding checklists are keeping us pretty busy.
August 26th
The birthday celebrations have come to an end during the weekend. Vinci had his pirate theme party plus two cakes (one soccer cake and one pirate cake). Katja and Josef are busy planning hen night and stag night...we are very curious! The children are slowly getting used to their Viennese life again: kindergarden, rhythmic gymnastics day camp for Cici, castings, excursions,... Therese is mapping out the extracurricular activities for the schoolyear to come and definitely needs more than seven days per week to fit in the wishes of all her children.
August 22nd
Therese and Vinci are celebrating their birthday - together they are 43 years old. Therese is a bit frustrated because she found several wedding invitations in the mailbox after her long holidays in Bulgaria - Return to Sender, Address unknown. She is now researching and resending them... On top of it, there is quite a lot of work to do for die kampagne and Agatex.

August 21st
We love Bulgaria. So we brought something to Vienna from our village that will always remind us of our "second home". Mischka (Bulgarian for mouse), our baby cat. We all love her. As we are having an "adults only wedding", Mischka will not be present though.
August 19th
We finally booked our honeymoon. Flights only to Mumbai, India....and then, let's see!

July 30th
We are in Bulgaria!
June 29th
The schoolyear is coming to an end (Cici first class, Momo fourth class of Volksschule, Niki fourth class of Unterstufe and Livia seventh class of neusprachliches Gymnasium), we are all looking forward to flying to Varna/Bulgaria. We hope that at least our best friends from the village of Shkorpilovtsi will be able to attend the wedding ceremony. In the last few years, we often considered getting married in Bulgaria and bringing a couple of friends with us. For organizational reasons, it is easier to have the ceremony in Austria, though. Rococo in Shkorpilovtsi would also be rather unusual :) BUT: We still hope to spend a weekend there with a bunch of you some day.
June 28th
Georg and Cici performed in Odeon theatre with their Flamenco ensemble. A good practice for the "first dance".
June 1st, 2012
We have sent out most of the wedding invitations...now it's your turn to reply! We will lean back, relax and wait for your answers.

May 23rd
Today is a very special day for us because we will visit Laudon castle with the witnesses, our DJ http://www.magoo.ag/leistungen/ and the caterer. We have prepared a huge list with open questions and will hopefully find answers for all of them!

May 2012,
We planned our wedding very well in the beginning of the year, so we could actually spend the month of April working on other issues (our regular jobs and the kids). Of course, we also had to celebrate Georg's 41st birthday on April 28th. We organized a treasure hunt for him and we had a rather spontaneous gathering in our garden a few days later with 66 guests from 0-about 50 years. (Have a look at the picture below - Marie Antoinette was NOT invited, she only helps to illustrate the rococo sujet)
Now, we are getting started with the invitations. It is really chaotic. We cannot find half of the addresses...but we will succeed! We want to send out all of them before the summer holidays start. This way, we will be able to relax in Bulgaria while the guests are submitting the RSVP forms (hopefully).

March 12th, 2012
Oh no, no cow! Gone is the milkmaid scenery!
March 11th, 2012
We enjoyed a family trip to the Schönbrunn castle museum for children where we learnt a lot about rococo life, amusement and fashion. Let's see if we can use our knowledge on our wedding day! By the way: we might get a 20 kilo cow made of wood for our celebration. We thought it fits the fake royal rococo milkmaid idyll. It even has a plastic udder for virtual practice.
March 9th, 2012
What a lovely way to spend lunch time! We went to see the tailor Herbert Rieger whose shop is all ready for the Viennese Life Ball right now. We recommend Herbert´s creations to those who love extraordinary fashion ideas.
March 7th, 2012
After all the cake tasting, the tailor called to tell us that they have to take the measures of the groom again. Did he gain weight???
March 5th, 2012

March 3rd, 2012
Wedding cake festival in Goetzendorf. We crashed the party with five hungry children. Ferdinand ate half the decoration of the showroom cakes and we all had loads of free samples of Mozart cake, Sissi cake, Esterhazy cake, mango cake, Bailey cake and ....dont remember anymore. All of us felt a little sick afterwards. But it was definetely worth it! Chocolate - Nougat wins!
February 18th, 2012
Back to the cold, back to reality: checking a lot offers for the day of all days and taking care of Vincent, who is very very sick.February 7th, 2012
Tulkarm, Nablus, we were not allowed to go to Samaria, then Caesarea, Akko, Tiberias, Kanaa, Nazareth.
February 5th, 2012
So far, we have seen Tel Aviv and Jaffa. We even got to watch an Ethiopian wedding ceremony there. Georg is sunburnt and Therese seems to have eaten something wrong. Georg is sorry not to have taken a motorbike for the trip instead of the rental car. One of our potential wedding caterers is from Israel and has sent us a list of about 200 restaurants where we have to eat here. By now we have tried three of them....lets see if we can get some ideas for the menu!
February 3rd, 2012
Off to Israel for our "engagement trip"....even though we didnt know that it was going to be one when we booked it! No children, just us.
February 2nd, 2012
We have already visited Laudon castle and might go to see Hunyadi Castle (http://www.schloss-hunyadi.at/) today and maybe even the Möbeldepot (http://www.moebeldepot.at/Moebeldepot/Eventlocation/) which was recommended to us as a very special event location. Our preference is Laudon, but we thought we should at least go and see some other locations before we book it for good. Laudon is only a five minutes drive from our home which makes organisational issues a lot easier.
When we started looking for locations we fell in love with Rothenturm Castle (picture below) in Burgenland. Unfortunately, it is being renovated right now. It will be possible to use it for events in 2014 earliest and we didnt want to wait that long. We have already waited long enough, havent we?
Georg thinks that Hunyadi is okay, Therese doesnt like it. Cici prefers Laudon and although we tried to tell her that she is not the one in charge of making the decisions, we kind of agree...
The Möbeldepot (interior picture below) is extremely cool! But if we really want to have a Rococo Wedding and if we want to have a religious ceremony it is not adequate to chose a furniture store as location. If we ever organize a dine & dance event for grown-ups, we will definetely go there!
By the way: visiting wedding locations with three small kids is not very relaxing! Especially if they are full with expensive antiques. There is a reason why people usually get married and have children later on.
