Singing is very important in our church. If you want to listen to one of the songs (or even practice it!) which we will sing for sure during the wedding ceremony, have a look at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdzoeCuVs7w&feature=fvwrel (Gospel Song: Oh happy day)

METHODISM The wedding ceremony is going to be a Methodist one. It does not differ a lot from Catholic rites. For your information: NO, the Methodist church is NOT a sect, but a significant Protestant Christian movement. (We need to clarify this, because sometimes people ask us rather etxraordinary questions) For us, it was much more than a compromise to become Methodists when we left the Catholic Church. We adore the tolerance and pragmatism we have found in our community. Do you know the saying by Erich Kästner " Es gibt nichts Gutes, ausser man tut es?" (There is nothing good apart from what is actually done - literally or Action speaks louder than words) Methodism is very much like this. The more we learn about the Methodist way of living, the more we like it. We truly feel at home in our community in the Sechshauser Straße and we are really glad that Stefan Schröckenfuchs has agreed to wed us. Stefan is more than a priest for us - we consider him a friend, too. |
